In Perpetual Motion is a preview of my upcoming debut record and features compositions written for me by Nico Muhly, Joan Tower, Amy Beth Kirsten, Burton Hatheway and Oliver Lewin, as well as my own compositions. Additionally it will feature a new work To Whom Do We Belong created in collaboration with acclaimed puppet theater artist, Blair Thomas, that tells the immigration story of my great-grandmother, Esther Kaplan after surviving WWI in Eastern Europe. My long-time collaborator, Matthew Duvall will also perform.
