Berceuse (2016)

I wrote Berceuse as a wedding gift for a dear friend, and was delighted to also perform it at the wedding. The interval of the sixth that defines the opening theme outlines the initials of my friend’s name - D to B.

The second theme which creeps in and eventually combines fully with the first theme, is a representation of a second independent person, and becomes a vital counterpoint to the opening theme, though both themes still preserve their own identities.
